July Fourth Weekend!

              On July fourth weekend, I went up to Katy, TX to spend a wonderful weekend with my family! On Saturday morning, my cousins' and some of their friends went shopping at the Katy Mills mall. We hit some great deals, and had a blast! My cousin's sweet little boy came with us, and he was so good! He is absolutely precious, and babbles all the time! Needless to say, by the end of the day, we wore that little 9 month old out!

             After our extravagent day of shopping, and after the men had a long day of playing golf, we got together at my cousin's house and had a great barbeque! I made a homemade cookie cake using my grandmothers icing recipe :) It was a big hit! It tasted great! My cousin's step sister made cantaloupe wrapped in prisciotto for appetizers. It was the first time I had ever heard of that, and needless to say...it was good! My cousin, Bonnie, and her husband, Tim made delicious hamburgers with plenty of things to dress them with! We had my homemade July 4th cookie cake for dessert!

 I had a wonderful time, and cannot wait to see my cousins again soon!

After all the fun and excitement, I had to get back to reality. I have put my jewelry making on hold for a few weeks. I have been studying to pass my TEXES test. My biggest dream is to be an elementary school teacher, and I am trying to get a teaching job in Texas. In order to become highly qualified, I have to take a test called the TEXES test. I have been studying very hard, and so I am putting my Jewelry making on hold until after July 2oth :/ I have to say it is hard to not be able to make jewelry, and force myself to study.

I have so many great ideas I am ready to create, and a sneak peek of my ideas will be in my next blog...sooo stay tuned :)

Summertime Happiness!

I have to say I just love summer! My jewelry has been inspired by my love of summer lately! Beaches, swimming, tans, and watermelon! What's not to love?!

It's a Rainy Day in LA!

It has been raining in Louisiana! What a wonderful thing to see! We have been in a drought for months now...I've never been so excited to see rain! The plants are growing and seem so happy to have fresh water!

Inspired by the rain we finally have, I created some rainy day earrings! A beautiful leaf focal point with a flower drop below! I love love these earrings! So sweet and simple...they are a must have!

My first bridal party jewelry!!!

I was so excited the day I received an email asking me to make the jewelry for the wedding party! It was so much fun creating different earrings until we got the perfect ones! I know how everything in a wedding needs to be perfect...I've been there! We worked together until we decided on the perfect earrings!

She loved my Vintage Initial necklace, so I made the earrings to match! I hope the girls love them as much as I do, and hope it is everything they wanted!

I am so happy to say this is the first bridal party I have made jewelry for, and cannot wait to do it again!!!

Celeberate Mardi Gras!

Mardi Gras is my husband's favorite holiday! He loves how you can just relax and enjoy the day, while watching the parades. There is no presents to buy, no food to cook, and you can celebrate Louisiana!  I enjoy Mardi Gras, but not nearly as much as him

I made some great earrings to celebrate this Louisiana Celebration!

I also made these earrings, which were sold the next day!

Rock N' Roll the night away!

Sooo...my co-worker is in a Mardi Gras crew, and every year they have a different theme. This year is Rock N' Roll. She wanted to give the girls in her crew some "rock n roll" necklaces, so we looked online and she couldn't find any she liked. Then we came up with the idea of me making the necklaces for her! DUH! I told her the idea I had in mind, and they came out exactly like I hoped! It was so fun to make them! I hope to make more and more jewelry! I love it so much! Rock n roll necklaces were so different and fun! Needless to say, she LOVED them!! I was so glad! Here's a glimpse of what they look like!

Support kids with Autism

These past few weeks, I have been substituting for a sweet little boy with autism. I have to say, at first it was difficult, but after the first few days, I fell in love with him! Autism is a very hard developmental disability that is usually diagnosed within the first 3 years of a child's life. It affects the child's way of socialization. No one knows what causes Autism, and is a challenging condition.

From Beginning to NOW!

    I first opened my shop when I began making Wall Hangings for friends and family for fun! My cousin suggested I open a shop to show off my original designs! Lets just say... I have had a blast! I began picking up a new hobby...JEWELRY, and decided to sell that on my website as well! I have so much fun making up new designs, and enjoy creating! I am learning something new everyday on how to improve my shop, and am looking forward to a big takeoff!

    The first Wall Hanging I did was for my 3 year old sister in law for her room. I had so much fun doing it! They still have it hanging up on her wall with her things on it :)

Happy New Year! Today is my Birthday!

      Today I turn another year older, and it is New Year's eve! I hope the new year brings everyone great joy, and a great start! I am proud to say, I have sold over 20 of my "Charming" necklaces within the last month! I have worked very hard for my business to start booming, and I feel it is finally picking up! I am enjoying every moment of creating new things, and bringing new ideas to my shop! This new year, I will be bringing many more new ideas to my business, and am looking forward to this new year!

      My cousin, Andrea Patin, was in for christmas, and we decided to take some pictures of my necklaces I make. She is a great photographer, so I have decided to let her take all my pictures for my website, and feel she deserves some much appreciated credit!

I am happy to have her a part of my business! I look forward to posting more of my necklaces, and look forward to showing off her photography!

My cousin, Bonnie, loved my bow hangers so much that she ordered not one...but TWO bow hangers for her friends as baby gifts! I was so happy to make these hangers for her! Thank you for your purchase Bonnie! Here are some pictures of the hangers!

My cousin, Amie, just had a sweet little baby girl! As a gift for baby, I made her a Wall Hanging for her bows! I've always wanted to make a ballerina one, and it was a perfect opportunity! Needless to say, she sent me pictures of it on hanging on the wall in the babies room with all of her bows on it! I was so pleased they liked it so much!
